Based On The M-1943 Field Jacket, The M-1951 Field Jacket Was A Winter Jacket Produced By The Us Army In 1951 (The M-50 Was A Transitional Version). Models Prior To The M-1950 Were Buttoned, With Snap Fasteners And Zippers Starting With The M-1951. The M-1951 Could Wear A Standing Collar For Cold Protection, A Detail That Was Carried Over Into The Later M-1965 Field Jacket. The M-1951 Had Button Cuffs, A Pointed Collar And Had A Separate Hood That Buttoned Onto The Collar.
We Made The Initial Version Of The M-1951 Field Jacket: Spec. Mil-J-11448, Made Of Cotton Satin, Color Od7, Which Will Look Vintage After Wearing And Washing.
