The M-1951(Or M51) Parka, Is Commonly Known As The Fishtail Parka. It Was Designed By The Us Army During The Korean War To Cope With Severe Cold Weather. It Was A Replacement For The M-48 Parka. The Early M-51 Parka Was Made Of Heavy Cotton Sateen Fabric, Which Was Thicker. The Fishtail Was Intended To Be Tied Around Soldiers’ Legs For Additional Cold-Weather Protection. The M-51 Parka Can Add A Wool Liner To The Inside.
